Panama Jack, move over! Today I am sharing some of my favorite Summer welcome mats that have spunk! First, who is Panama Jack, you ask…if you’re not a child of the 80’s you may need to google it.
Here are the layered floor mats that I used when adding Summer style to a client’s home.
I had gotten a few questions about the layered mats and several people had asked where I got the yellow outdoor rug. I decided to share more of the outdoor rugs and mats along with links to purchase them. You can easily mix and match the area rugs to the door mats as long as the sizes of each vary enough that the area rug peeps through from underneath.
Prices vary a lot online. For this particular client, I was trying to stay within a budget and was able to purchase the 2×3 area rug from Belk.com for around $25. The “home” door mat from Hobby Lobby (50% off) was $10. Since then, the 2×3 rug is showing at a higher price on the Belk.com website and the colors are limited. For this post, I am going to share other Summer rugs and mats you may like and I’ve tried to stay realistic with the cost.
I love how layered mats add so much interest. I bought the pineapple mat for my front door and layered it with a black reversible mat. Both were from Belk.com
I love pineapples and their meaning of hospitality. I hope all that come to my home feel welcome! I kind-of wish I had gotten me a yellow mat like the one I bought for my client. I guess I was playing it safe. Next time, I am going to go for the bold and bright. Lesson learned.
Give layered door mats a try. Mix and match to your heart’s delight!
