Don’t you love simple and inexpensive crafts and decor? These PINECONE FLOWER NAPKIN RINGS can easily be made from items in (and outside) of your home but give a high-end look to your table decor.

Let me show you how to make these.
Supplies you will need:
- Pinecones
- Craft paint
- Hot glue gun
- Napkin Rings–I used a pack of napkin rings from Dollar Tree, but you can reuse old napkin rings or substitute napkin rings for slices of cardboard from a toilet paper roll)
- Ribbon
- Craft bead or decorative button
I began by removing the cone scales from the pinecone. After trial and error, I found that beginning at the bottom worked better.

I grouped similar sizes of the cone scales together to determine what I could use for my flower. Each napkin ring will need 12 cone scales. For this project, I ended up using two pinecones so that I could have enough of the same size of cone scales that I needed. Using craft paint, I painted both sides of each scale gold.

While the paint was drying, I prepped the napkin rings. I bought a bag of silver napkin rings from Dollar Tree for this project.

I thought about painting these, but noticed that they were the same width of some of the ribbon I had. I cut the ribbon to length and hot glued the ends together around the napkin ring.

To make the flowers, I hot glued three rows of four “petals”.

To add a little dimension, I flipped the last row of pine scales upside down so that they were reaching outward.

For the center, I used a pearl craft bead.

That’s it! Not only do I love that these pinecone flower napkin rings are inexpensive and simple to assemble, you can also change them up to make them your own…leave the scales natural for a more rustic feel or use your own napkin rings. A pretty button in the center would be make a nice substitution for the bead.
